Report: Dario Cueto To Be Named Cesar Duran In MLW

No more Dario

Major League Wrestling's Court Bauer recently noted that Dario Cueto will receive a new name in the promotion and that name has now been revealed. 

MLW filed to trademark 'Cesar Duran' on May 4 and WrestlingNews.co has reported that will be Cueto's new on-screen name. 

The trademark was filed for the following purposes:

"C 028. US 022 023 038 050. G & S: Toys, namely, action figures, accessories therefor; dolls; cases for action figures; toy wrestling rings; toy vehicles; board games; hand-held units for playing electronic game other than those adopted for use with an electronic display screen or monitor; tabletop action skill games; playing cards; puzzles; stuffed toys; plush toys; toy belts; knee and elbow pads for athletic use; toy foam hands; costume masks; novelty face masks

"IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Entertainment services, namely, an ongoing television series featuring sports entertainment broadcast over television, satellite, audio and video media and via a global computer network; live events featuring wrestling contests and exhibitions; performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; providing wrestling news, information and video via a global computer network; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment"

Luis Fernandez-Gil, the man behind Cueto, returned to professional wrestling last week and was revealed as the leader of Azteca Underground in the season finale of MLW Fusion. He has signed a multi-year deal with the promotion and more will be revealed about his plans for Azteca Underground when MLW returns on July 10. 

Dario Cueto was the on-screen owner of Lucha Underground until the show finished up after four seasons in 2018.
