Date Of First AEW World Championship Defense Revealed

Jericho or Page?

At All Out on August 31, Adam "Hangman" Page and Chris Jericho will face one another to determine who will be the first-ever All Elite Wrestling World Champion.

Whoever wins that match will be defending their newly won title on the third episode of AEW's weekly TNT show on October 16.

That show takes place in Philadelphia at the Liacouras Center, a building that houses about 10,200 fans. IMPACT Wrestling held two pay-per-views there (Lockdown 2009 and Bound For Glory 2011).

At the time of writing, nothing else has been announced for the third show, while shows one and two in Washington D.C (October 4) and Boston (October 9) have already had a myriad of matches and segments announced (details of which can be found by searching "AEW" on this very website).

With wins and losses meaning something in AEW, Jericho comes into this match off the back of a win against Kenny Omega at Double Or Nothing back in May.

Page won the Double Or Nothing Casino Battle Royale, defeated Jimmy Havoc, Jungle Boy and MJF in a four-way match at Fyter Fest, and saw off Kip Sabian at Fight For The Fallen.
