WWE have announced that the legendary tag team Demolition are set to enter the Hall of Fame class of 2026.
As with Stephanie McMahon and AJ Styles, it was The Undertaker who informed Ax & Smash (Bill Eadie and Barry Darsow) that they would be inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame this year.
Demolition won the WWE Tag Team Championships on three occasions. Their first reign, which clocked in at 478 days, was the longest in history until the record was broken by The New Day.
A Hall of Fame induction for Ax and Smash had looked unlikely in the past as the duo were not on good terms with the company. Eadie sued WWE over the rights to the Demolition gimmick in the 1990s, while both he and Darsow were later part of a class action lawsuit against the company.
Relations between the two sides are much better these days and Demolition signed a Legends Deal in 2025, fuelling speculation that a HOF induction could be forthcoming.
The 2026 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will take place at Dolby Live at Park MGM on Friday, April 17. Additional inductees are due to be announced in the coming weeks.
