Deonna Purrazzo To Make AAA In-Ring Debut Next Month
The Virtuosa will get in the ring before her huge title match at Triplemania 29
IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo is set to officially debut for lucha libre promotion AAA next month, taking on Lady Shani at Verano de Escandalo on July 3.
Purrazzo first appeared at AAA Rey de Reyes on May 2, joining the commentary team in a surprise move, before later challenging AAA Reina de Reinas Champion Faby Apache to a title-vs-title match at Triplemania 29 on August 14.
Apache only won the title at Rey de Reyes, winning a multi-person match for the vacant title - vacated by Taya Valkyrie when she joined WWE.
Lady Shani originally challenged Purrazzo to a match after Triplemania, but Purrazzo - via a video posted to the AAA Worldwide Twitter account - said there’s no reason to wait until after Triplemania, with the bout brought forward to July.
Triplemania is looking set to be a huge affair, with lucha libre’s premier spectacle hosting the aforementioned title-vs-title match, as well as Andrade El Idolo taking on AAA Mega Champion Kenny Omega.
