Dexter Lumis' First Post-WWE Appearance Revealed

Dexter Lumis back on the indies following his WWE release

Dexter Lumis' first post-WWE booking has been revealed.

The Tortured Artist was let go by WWE on Friday, April 29, along with nine other talents, including Dakota Kai, Persia Pirotta, Malcolm Bivens, and Draco Anthony.

Since then, Atomic Revolutionary Wrestling have announced that Lumis - now going by his Samuel Shaw name again - will return to the promotion on Friday, June 24 at their Born in Blood event in Melbourne, Florida. The show will be taped for FITE TV.

Reports previously noted that Lumis was subject to a 30-day non-compete clause, similar to past WWE NXT releases, and ARW's announcement seemingly confirms the length of The Tortured Artist's clause.

Lumis signed with WWE back in February 2019 and he spent the entirety of his run on NXT.

Most recently, he had been involved in a programme with storyline wife Indi Hartwell against Duke Hudson and Persia Pirotta. Lumis' final WWE match took place on April 19 when he and Hudson unsuccessfully challenged Pretty Deadly for the NXT Tag Team Championships.
