Diva Search Talent Quit WWE After Alleged Harassment From Management

A former WWE star has claimed that a Diva Search contestant quit the company after being harrassed by 'the main office'.

Former ECW and WWE star Dawn Marie has commented on the recent allegations levelled towards Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis, including whether or not she personally saw anything inappropriate between talent and management during her three-year run with the company.

Speaking to Wrestling Then And Now, Marie said of Laurinaitis:

"I never had a problem with Johnny. You know, I didn't really have an opinion of him. I mean, he was okay. No bad, no good, you know, he was my boss. That was it. I heard all the stuff that's going on now. What can I say? Only in wrestling".

With regards to how she got along with McMahon, Marie added:

"Awesome. You know, it was professional. He was always respectful. I've had my lawsuit with Vince afterwards, and I had my own issues with Vince. But I have nothing – I almost feel weird saying it – when I worked with him, I had nothing but respect for him. Even after the lawsuit. Business is just business".

The lawsuit Marie is referring to is the one she filed against WWE with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in January 2006. Marie claimed her contract had been wrongly terminated in July 2005 due to her pregnancy, despite assurances her job was safe. The case was settled in late 2007.

Asked whether she had witnessed anything inappropriate between talent and management backstage, Marie said:

"No…well, see it or hear? Two different things. I never saw anything. There was a girl from the Diva Search, really nice girl, and she would come to me for a lot of advice, because she was getting calls from the main office. And she was just freaked out…you always hear the stories, but you don't know, right? You don't know the truth. But then when she was telling me the truth, she was so scared and broken, and she ended up leaving. That's the only time that I've ever encountered an issue, was that one person".

Another ex-WWE star, Rene Dupree, recently alleged that former WWE Diva Jackie Gayda's career suffered after she rejected McMahon's advances.
