CM Punk To Be Out Of Action For 6-8 Months

Punk is focusing on getting healthy.

WWE star CM Punk has provided an update on his recovery.

Punk tore his right triceps while competing in the men's 2024 Royal Rumble match, which required surgery to fix.

Despite being on the mend, the 45-year-old was in attendance at the UFC 298 pay-per-view over the weekend. While backstage, he caught up with TNT Sport's Caroline Pearce, who asked him about the potential timeline for his return to the ring.

"I'm a clumsy idiot and I tore my left triceps about two years ago so the right one was jealous. I'm like an old car, I'm like a 72 Nova, you know what I mean? We have to change some parts every now and again. Once we fix up all the parts, the engine is still strong, we'll still be good to go.

"We're thinking maybe six to eight months but I'm not really in a rush to get back to compete, I'm in a rush to get healthy, I'm in a rush to get better and the sooner I do that the better I'll be when I come back," Punk said.

According to Punk's close friend Ace Steel, WWE may have The Straight-Edge Superstar provide commentary while he's on the shelf.
