Gunther Unsure If Brock Lesnar Will Ever Be Seen On WWE TV Again

The Intercontinental Champion may never get to face his 'end boss'.

Gunther has long lobbied for a bout with Brock Lesnar, often referring to it as his 'dream' match.

With Lesnar currently on the outs due to him being implicated in former WWE employee Janel Grant's lawsuit against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis and WWE, the odds of that match now happening appear slim.

Speaking to GVWire, the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion in WWE history noted that he's unsure if Lesnar will ever step into a WWE ring again.

"I always was vocal about my dream match in the past, but that fell through now. I don’t know if we’ll see Brock again if that’s ever going to happen, but I’m wide open when it comes to that as of now," Gunther said.

Lesnar had been scheduled to return at the 2024 Royal Rumble, prior to The Wall Street Journal naming him as the WWE star and former UFC Heavyweight Champion referenced in Grant's suit.

The 46-year-old was ultimately replaced in the men's Royal Rumble match by Bron Breakker. Lesnar's creative following the Rumble was to have seen him clash with Dominik Mysterio at Elimination Chamber, then take on Gunther at WrestleMania XL.

WWE have instead distanced themselves from their multi-time former world champion, who was recently spotted in public for the first time since the lawsuit was filed.
