The Rock reached out to Donald Trump earlier this year following the assassination attempt against the Republican presidential nominee.

Appearing on The Undertaker's Six Feet Under podcast, Trump said:

"He was great. I never thought he liked me. I felt badly because I think he's a terrific guy. Dana White said, when I was shot, I took a shot to the ear, you may have heard about it. Rock called Dana and said, 'I want to have his number. I want to have his number. What he did is sort of incredible.' He considered it bravery. It was very nice, The Rock."

Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt on July 13, 2024 when he was speaking at a campaign rally near Butler, Pennsylvania. Trump was shot and wounded in his upper right ear.

Trump is running to become president of the United States for a second time against Democratic Party nominee and current Vice President Kamala Harris. The US presidential election will take place on Tuesday, November 5.

Pro wrestling has been a key element of Trump's campaign and Hulk Hogan recently predicted that Trump will become president again in a landslide.

The Rock, meanwhile, is involved with WWE as an on-screen talent and through his spot on the TKO Board of Directors. His status for WrestleMania 41 is currently up in the air.
