Drew McIntyre Addresses His WWE Contract Status

Drew McIntyre comments on his WWE future

Drew McIntyre has declined to address his WWE contract status, simply saying he finds it interesting that his deal with the company has been talked about for the past year.

"Oh no, I can't talk about that. I'll let the internet talk about it, though. So I'll just keep watching, keep watching every week and it's interesting, I'm not the only one without a contract in WWE. It's just interesting that it seems to be mine that's [being talked about] every single week for a year straight," McIntyre told The West Australian.

It emerged following 2023's WrestleMania 39 that WWE and Drew McIntyre were far apart on a new deal. His contract, with injury time having been added to it, is set to expire in April shortly after WrestleMania 40.

McIntyre has yet to sign a new deal but both parties are operating under the assumption the two-time WWE Champion will be a part of the company for the long-term. Irn Dru is also said to be "very happy" with his current WWE creative, having turned heel in late 2024 and re-established himself at the top of the card on Monday Night Raw.

McIntyre will be in action at the Elimination Chamber on Saturday, February 24 in the men's Elimination Chamber match. He is one of the favourites to challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40.
