Drew McIntyre Declines To Reveal WWE Contract Status

Drew McIntyre keeping quiet about his WWE contract status

It’s been one of the biggest ‘will he/won’t he’ stories in professional wrestling for the last several months, with the future of former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre up in the air, with the ‘Scottish Psychopath’s current deal believed to be nearing its expiration.

McIntyre is set to take on World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins at the upcoming WrestleMania XL event, but despite such a prominent position on the card, conflicting reports still swirl about Drew’s contract status. McIntyre himself kept quiet on his current status, saying the following on The Ringer's Masked Men show:

"It's very important to me, having a new contract. It's been talked about for a very long time on the internet. I'm not the only one whose contract comes up every few years or whatever, but you would think it, reading the internet. There is nothing I can say right now. I can say that I'm having fun. I can say that I intend to continue having fun and I'm in my prime. I'm younger than everyone thinks I am because I've been around for such a long time. I have years to go. No matter what, you'll still see Drew McIntyre wrestling. I can say 'or Drew Galloway' and that would get everyone's attention," McIntyre said.

McIntyre of course used the name ‘Drew Galloway’ on the independent scene and in TNA/IMPACT Wrestling prior to rejoining WWE in 2017.
