Drew McIntyre Offers Positive Comments About AEW's Existence
Drew McIntyre is glad AEW is around so his friends can work

When it comes to the war between WWE and AEW, it has been made clear time and time again that very few wrestlers feel the animosity between the two sides (aside from perhaps the likes of CM Punk, MVP, and a few others with grievances). Drew McIntyre is one of those who is happy about the existence of AEW, noting on a recent Q&A social media livestream that AEW being around benefits the business.
McIntyre was asked about what he thought of AEW during his TikTok live, and he responded that he’d been catching up with all wrestling during his time away from the ring, including AEW.
“I mean, I’m happy to watch all wrestling, especially when I’m off. You know, when I was out that three months. That’s a chance for me to catch up and everything. You know, Impact, AEW, New Japan, the independent scene. And I’m just happy to see so many people that I’m friends with making a full-time living. That wasn’t the case when I was fired in 2014 and reinvented what it meant to be an independent wrestler. Using social media, as I still do to this day at a top level, it’s been going since 2014, to rebrand myself. To see how much the industry grew in those three years and led to so many places with so many people making a full-time living is awesome.”
It was reported recently that McIntyre was viewed as one of the very top stars behind the scenes in WWE, and is set for a major push in 2025.
