Drew McIntyre Regains WWE Title On Monday Night Raw
Altering Survivor Series just a bit...
Nov 17, 2020
Drew McIntyre is once again WWE champion.
The recently-deposed titleholder regained the title from Randy Orton on Monday's edition of Raw. The 24 minute match ended with McIntyre winning via Claymore.
McIntyre had lost the championship to Orton at Hell in a Cell on October 25. Before tonight, Orton was slated to represent Raw at Survivor Series, taking on Universal champion Roman Reigns, his SmackDown championship counterpart.
Orton tried to leave during the match, only to be cut off by Adam Pearce, who made it a no-countout, no-disqualification contest.
McIntyre had a special entrance for the match, wearing a blue and black kilt while brandishing a sword given to him earlier in the night by Sheamus.
McIntyre now takes Orton's spot as Reigns' Survivor Series opponent.
The updated card for the 2020 Survivor Series, taking place this Sunday at the Amway Center in Orlando, is as follows:
* WWE champion Drew McIntyre vs. Universal champion Roman Reigns
* Raw Women's champion Asuka vs. SmackDown Women's champion Sasha Banks
* United States champion Bobby Lashley vs. Intercontinental champion Sami Zayn
* Raw Tag Team champions The New Day vs. SmackDown Tag Team champions The Street Profits
