Drew McIntyre Reportedly Set For The WWE Universal Championship Scene
A huge feud for the Scotsman

Nov 26, 2021
Drew McIntyre is reportedly set to enter the WWE Universal Championship scene in the very near future.
McIntyre has long been touted as a future rival to Roman Reigns for the Universal Title, something that has become a real possibility since the Scotsman's move over to Friday Night SmackDown in the 2021 WWE Draft.
The former WWE Champion has been on a winning run since moving to the blue brand and, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, McIntyre has been protected in recent weeks due to a plan to have him being a challenger to Reigns in upcoming weeks.
It is noted that, much like Kevin Owens from the Raw brand, the reason behind McIntyre being counted-out during the Men's Traditional Survivor Series Tag Team Match was in order to protect him from being eliminated by pin-fall or submission.
This was done with the impending feud with Roman Reigns in mind.
WWE has heavily teased a new challenger for The Tribal Chief becoming apparent on this week's SmackDown, and it's possible McIntyre's status as number one contender could be confirmed on the show.
