Drew McIntyre Reveals Another Injury Suffered On SmackDown

Drew McIntyre can’t seem to escape accidents at the moment, as just as he revealed on this week’s Friday Night SmackDown that his eye injury was 100% healed and he was cleared for action, he’d picked up another knock and injury.

Taking to his Instagram Stories yesterday, Drew McIntyre revealed that during his SmackDown brawl with WrestleMania 41 rival Damian Priest, he’d busted open his scalp. The newly opened cut seems to be in the same or similar place to where he received staples following his bloody and brutal Hell In A Cell match with CM Punk at Bad Blood 2024. On his IG Story, McIntyre did note that he’d opened “old wounds”. It isn’t believed this will stop McIntyre competing at WrestleMania 41 next week.

Earlier in the week, McIntyre had revealed that he was in a race against time to get cleared for WrestleMania 41 due to getting glass in his eye the week prior, leading to him sporting an eye patch. For his sake, let's hope he doesn’t get physical again before WrestleMania 41. WWE announced on SmackDown that McIntyre vs. Priest would be contested in a Sin City Street Fight.
