Drew McIntyre Vs. AJ Styles Set For WWE TLC 2020

Their first-ever one on one match in WWE...

AJ Styles, Riddle and Keith Lee faced off in a "Sudden Death" Triple Threat Match on last night's Raw to determine the number one contender for Drew McIntyre's WWE Championship. All three men managed to get in some of their signature offence and Styles ultimately picked up the victory after he caught The Original Bro with the Phenomenal Forearm.

WWE then confirmed The Phenomenal One will challenge McIntyre for the WWE Title at TLC on December 20.

The Face That Runs The Place didn't wait long to ignite his feud with McIntyre and he delivered his second Phenomenal Forearm of the night to the WWE Champion in the main event, drawing the disqualification. Styles then encouraged The Miz to cash in Money In The Bank but The Scottish Psychopath got back to his feet and AJ fled on Omos's shoulders.

According to Dave Meltzer, Braun Strowman was originally scheduled to face McIntyre at TLC. Those plans were reportedly scrapped, however, after The Monster Among Men suffered a knee injury at Survivor Series. Strowman was subsequently written off WWE TV with a storyline suspension after he attacked Adam Pearce.
