Drew McIntyre Wants WWE To Split The Undisputed WWE Universal Championship

Drew McIntyre would prefer a return to Raw and SmackDown each having a top WWE title.

Speaking to Pro Wrestling Illustrated, WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre has expressed his preference for a return to a two-belt system, with both Raw and SmackDown having one of the top titles.

Since Roman Reigns' defeat of Brock Lesnar at last year's WrestleMania, the WWE Championship and Universal Championship have been combined into the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

Speaking about his own future goals, McIntyre explains:

“I wanna get a title in front of live fans. I had it for 300 days with nobody there. Obviously Clash [at the Castle] would have been an awesome moment if I was able to pull it off. Roman’s on this run of a lifetime right now - curious to see where that goes. Ideally we’ll get those titles separated back on their respective shows and back on the live events and all over. But can’t deny what Roman’s done with them and how he’s representing [WWE] as champion.”

H/T to WrestleZone.
