Drew McIntyre WWE Return Update

WWE star Drew McIntyre hasn't been seen since he lost a bloody and brutal Hell in a Cell match to CM Punk at Bad Blood (on October 5).

The bout left McIntyre needing sixteen staples to close a nasty head wound and Drew has since taken time off to attend to family matters.

A previous report suggested that Drew had returned to Europe after suffering some personal losses.

According to PWInsider, WWE creative have started discussions regarding how and when McIntyre will return. The report added that nothing has been set in stone as far as his character's direction is concerned, but there have been pitches made (indicating he is closer to making a return to the ring).

WWE talent were reportedly marvelling at McIntyre's ability to power through during his Cell match with Punk, considering some of the abuse he took in it.

It would be a surprise if the 39-year-old former WWE Champion wasn't back on WWE television in time for the road to WrestleMania, especially with Raw moving to Netflix in January.

The show's January 6 Netflix premiere is set to be one of the biggest in WWE Raw history.
