Dustin Rhodes Hints At Retirement

Dustin Rhodes said he is 'thinking about the next step'

Current AEW star Dustin Rhodes has hinted that his in-ring career may be coming to an end in a recent social media post.

Taking to Twitter, Rhodes wrote: "Man, old age has caught up to me guys. As much as I push myself beyond my limits, I can honestly say, I am doing some heavy thinking about the next step. We all think we can go forever with new batteries, but TIME comes for all of us. Kinda scared tbh."

Dustin began his career in 1988 and has wrestled every year (besides 2011) since.

This year, Rhodes has wrestled five matches, the most recent being his unsuccessful challenge of then-Ring of Honor Champion Claudio Castagnoli on the August 26 episode of Rampage.

As well as being an in-ring talent, Dustin also acts as a backstage coach and producer for the AEW women's division. Outside of AEW, he runs the Rhodes Wrestling Academy training school.

The 53-year-old signed a multi-year contract extension with AEW in the summer of 2019.
