Eddie Dennis Injured At WWE NXT UK Tapings

He will be out for some time...

NXT UK held its latest round of tapings this weekend at the York Barbican in York, England. After Eddie Dennis defeated Trent Seven at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool II, the two Superstars had their rematch on Friday night.

Both Superstars left it all in the ring as they went head to head in a Four Corners Of Steel Street Fight, in which all of the turnbuckle covers in the ring were removed. While the crowd did not notice there was anything wrong at the time, the former Headteacher confirmed that he separated his shoulder during the match.

At PROGRESS Wrestling Chapter 101: Dalmatians, Dennis opened the show at the Electric Ballroom in London, England. While he was scheduled to defend his Unified World Championship against Cara Noir in the main event, The Pride Of Wales explained to the crowd that he was injured and would ultimately be forced to relinquish the title.

This is the third time Dennis has suffered a serious injury in the last three years. In 2018, he spent four months on the sideline before debuting in NXT UK. After making his debut, he enjoyed a sustained run in the UK brand before tearing his pectoral muscle at a Pro Wrestling CHAOS show in March 2019. He then spent three months on the sideline again before returning in June.
