Eddie Kingston Faces Cody On AEW: Dynamite

Back at ICW No Holds Barred Volume 3: Deathmatch Drive-In 2, Eddie Kingston cut a promo on Cody and said everything about The American Nightmare was fake and dared him to put his TNT Title on the line against "a grown man" and not "f*****g children." 

The Mad King got his wish as he was revealed as the latest challenger for the TNT Championship on last night's episode of Dynamite. The NWA star didn't wait long to make his presence felt as he threatened to gouge Arn Anderson's eyes out before the match began. 

Once the action did begin, the two stars battled back and forth, and The War King quickly showed his hardcore side as he retrieved a bag of thumbtacks from underneath the ring. Both he and Cody proceeded to take bumps on the tacks, and The American Nightmare forced Kingston to tap out after locking in the Figure Four Leglock.  

Whether or not Kingston will return to AEW is currently unknown but #SignEddieKingston was trending after the show as fans and independent wrestlers like Session Moth Martina, AJ Gray and Faye Jackson all campaigned for The Mad King to be given a shot in the young promotion.
