Eddie Kingston To Undergo Surgery

Eddie Kingston is set to go under the knife

Ring of Honor will be without one of their top stars for a little while.

The promotion held their latest round of TV tapings over the weekend at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida and the second day of tapings was main evented by a clash between AR Fox and Anthony Henry. Fox was attacked by JD Drake and Shane Taylor following the match until FTR made the save.

Eddie Kingston then joined FTR and AR Fox in the ring to send the fans home happy, only to tell everyone in attendance that he is set to undergo hernia surgery this week. The ROH star believes he will be able to return in six weeks.

Kingston has reportedly been performing with a hernia since September 2022 and he revealed in April that he aggravated the injury during his ROH World Title match with Claudio Castagnoli at Supercard of Honor. Kingston is said to have "downplayed" the injury to All Elite Wrestling's medical team, initially believing it was just a pulled groin, before he was diagnosed with a hernia on March 31.

Kingston has competed solely in Ring of Honor since he "quit" AEW in early March.
