'Edge' Mentioned On AEW Dynamite

AEW Dynamite had a passing mention of ‘Edge’

Now that Adam Copeland is part of All Elite Wrestling, fans the world over have to get used to calling the ‘Rated R Superstar’ by his real name, rather than calling him Edge.

That didn’t stop a nod to Copeland’s past alter ego making it onto AEW TV, with Kenny Omega informing the multi-time World Champion that his debut at WrestleDream left him on the ‘edge’ of his seat. We see what you did there Kenny.

Omega follows in the footsteps of MJF, with the AEW World Champion accidentally referring to Copeland as ‘Edge’ during the post-WrestleDream media scrum, correcting himself after Tony Khan pointed out his mistake.

Copeland had used the Edge gimmick from his WWE debut in 1998 up until his exit from the company on September 21. Whilst Edge is a WWE creation and thus trademarked by the company, WWE do not hold the trademark for 'Rated R Supetsrar', so that’ll make things easier for fans.

Wonder how long it will be until we get a Sexton Castle or Flip Sunset shout-out on AEW TV?
