Edge Removed From SmackDown's Intro Video

Edge is no longer in SmackDown's intro

Talk of Edge leaving WWE has been ramping up by the week ever since it emerged that his WWE contract was expiring at the end of this month. The Hall of Famer competed on SmackDown several weeks back in what felt like a goodbye, though given that Edge hasn’t competed outside of WWE since 1998, there was always a possibility of him simply re-signing with the company.

Edge would reveal in a social media video that WWE had in fact offered him a new contract, though last night’s WWE SmackDown would indicate that he will not continue his stay in the promotion. Ever since SmackDown updated their intro video package, Edge was a part of it, being shown making his entrance with his iconic pyro. However, he is no longer visible.

This comes after news that his contract is set to expire on September 30th and that he was no longer listed internally on WWE’s roster. As of this writing, Edge is still listed on WWE.com as being a part of the WWE roster though.
