Edge Vs. Randy Orton Set For WWE Backlash

The greatest wrestling match ever...

At WrestleMania 36, Edge competed in his first one on one match in nine years as he faced his former friend Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing match. The two Superstars battled back and forth for over 36 minutes and The Rated-R Superstar picked up the win after hitting Orton with the Con-Chair-To.

Everyone assumed the rivalry was over after The Showcase Of The Immortals, but The Viper returned to Monday Night Raw last week and challenged Edge to a normal singles match. The 11-time world champion was reluctant to give an answer for some reason, but both Superstars went face to face again last night.

Edge blasted his former friend for not having the passion to succeed in WWE and for only being a wrestler because his original career goals didn't pan out. This juxtaposed with The Ultimate Opportunist who always wanted to wrestle and become WWE Champion, and saved up his pocket money as a child so he could go to the local show at the end of the month. Orton then goaded Edge one more time and The Rated-R Superstar finally accepted his challenge.

The match received somewhat odd billing, however, as it is being promoted as The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever.
