Elias Works First Post-WWE Match

Elias has been reborn as Elijah.

Former WWE star Elias has wrestled his first match since leaving the company.

Elias was one of the group of stars WWE released in September 2023. Now going by the name Elijah, the 36-year-old squared off with "Speedball" Mike Bailey at Wrestling REVOLVER Whatashow this past Saturday. Though he put in a good showing, Elijah was ultimately defeated by Bailey. Clearly not happy with the result, the former Ezekiel attacked Bailey after the match.

On his official X account, Elijah retweeted several videos, gifs and comments from people who praised his performance in the match.

Prior to Saturday, his last in-ring appearance had been as a participant in a battle royal on the May 15, 2023 episode of Raw.

A report suggested that Elias (along with the likes of Shelton Benjamin and Dolph Ziggler) were released by WWE because they were making main roster money, but weren't being used regularly on television (and there were no plans for that to change in the future).

Real name Jeffrey Sciullo, he initially signed with WWE in 2014 and worked on NXT before being called up in 2017.
