Enzo Amore Rules Out Being Chris Jericho's Partner At AEW Worlds End

Enzo Amore won't be competing in AEW

The AEW World Tag Team Championship scene currently has an air of uncertainty. Kenny Omega was ruled out indefinitely, which has left his Golden Jets ally Chris Jericho without a partner for his Tag Team Title challenge at the upcoming Worlds End 2023 PPV against Ricky Starks and Big Bill.

It was revealed that Jericho would need to find a replacement partner, who has yet to be announced. For those very (very) few of you who were expecting it to be Enzo Amore, well you should now take a good look at yourselves and realise you were (very likely) wrong, as the man has ruled himself out of contention as the mystery partner. During a virtual signing with K&S WrestleFest, Amore responded to the possibility of showing up at AEW Worlds End.

“Would I? That is definitely something that is not in the cards right now because I am a free agent. I don't know what the deal is over there, I don't know who is doing what, who has the pencil, I don't know who is wrestling who. I just know that I'm damn proud of Big Bill holding the tag team titles. The last thing I would ever want to do is break his leg and take it away from him. I love that guy. I'm pulling for him, I'm rooting for him. I'm not trying to beat him up. Everyone knows I would beat him up, I would beat the hell out of him. [Smiles, implying sarcasm]. Seriously, Big Bill, how unbelievable is that story. What he overcame, where he's at right now, nobody is happier than I am to see the success of that man.”

Of course, Amore was formerly tag team partners with Big Bill, though it doesn’t look as though AEW will be following this particular piece of history for their PPV title match.
