Eric Bischoff Criticises Goldberg & Bobby Lashley Segment On WWE Raw

Goldberg said he was going to 'kill' Lashley

Eric Bischoff has criticised the use of the word 'kill' by Goldberg in his promos hyping his match with Bobby Lashley at WWE Crown Jewel 2021, saying such language loses the audience because they know it's not actually going to happen.

Ever since Lashley attacked Goldberg's son Gage at SummerSlam in August, Goldberg has issued threats against the All Mighty, saying in consecutive promos that he plans to 'kill' Lashley in their match in Saudi Arabia next week.

Bischoff, however, believes the use of such language doesn't make sense as fans know someone isn't going to be murdered in the feud.

Speaking on his 83 weeks podcast, Bischoff said: "“The minute that happens, you’ve lost the audience. I don’t know how to say this without saying it so I’ll take whatever s**t I take, but they know you’re not going to deliver. It makes no sense.

"It’s not artistic, it’s not creative, you’re not building anticipation, you’re not creating a stake, you’re not giving us a unique insight into your personality. You’re just saying something a 15-year-old or 16-year-old would say to somebody else as they’re getting their a** kicked in a school yard somewhere.”
