Eric Bischoff Thinks The Bloodline Story Is Better Than The NWO

Eric Bischoff has high praise indeed for WWE’s Bloodline storyline

WWE’s current Bloodline storyline has been hailed as one of the best in recent history, with the domineering Roman Reigns ruling WWE as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, whilst also keeping his family members - and formerly Sami Zayn - in check with emotional blackmail.

One name praising the story is that of former WCW President and WWE executive Eric Bischoff, claiming on the 83 Weeks podcast that the angle is better than the historic New World Order:

"The truth is The Bloodline story, in terms of a storyline in and the ingredients and the elements and the discipline and the structure and the nature of it, is a far better story than the NWO," Bischoff said. "Will it have the same impact on the industry as the NWO did? Probably not. But, that has a lot to do with timing. There are so many things that made the NWO work, including Hulk Hogan turning heel, by the way. There were so many things that were just a moment in time that helped propel that storyline at that, that time that you can't replicate that today.”

The NWO were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2020, with the core of Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Syxx representing the group for the induction.
