Estimate Given For AEW Revolution 2023 PPV Buys

An Estimate Has Been Given On The Projected PPV Buys For AEW Revolution 2023

From an in-ring perspective, AEW Revolution 2023 looks to have been a big positive based on reaction from fans and critics, with Dave Meltzer even rating two matches either 5 stars or above. From a financial point of view, early estimates indicate that it did a pretty decent job too.

In the post-show media scrum, AEW owner Tony Khan gave a prediction that the Revolution 2023 event would bring in between 130,000 to 140,000 buys. However, Dave Meltzer in the most recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has estimated that Khan’s projections could be a little too hopeful, with him stating;

“Right now I’d go with a 120,000 to 129,000 number that will probably grow to just under or a little over 130,000 with late buys.”

This is under what Khan had hoped for, with Meltzer also stating that there was a want for around 137,000 buys from those in AEW. If Meltzer’s prediction ends up being the case, then it means that the Revolution buys will have dropped from the previous PPV, Full Gear 2022, and will have also dropped around 30,000 or so buys from the previous year’s Revolution event.
