WWE Give Medical Update On NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez

NXT Has Given A Medical Update On Women's Champion Roxanne Perez

On the most recent episode of WWE NXT on March 7, the NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez was at the centre of headlines. Following a hard-hitting match with former NXT UK Women’s Champion Meiko Satamura, Perez collapsed amidst celebrations and getting her hand raised.

Many people did assume this to be a storyline injury, but it was executed well enough to provide some doubt amongst fans both in the arena and watching from home. After announcing earlier this week that Perez had stayed overnight in a hospital, a further update has been provided on WWE NXT's Twitter;

“Update: Roxanne Perez has been discharged from the hospital and is now at home resting.”

It isn’t clear when Perez will return to NXT television, but based on the most recent update, it wouldn’t be out of the question for her to make an appearance this upcoming Tuesday on March 14. This isn’t the first time WWE have tried to blur the lines with collapses and injuries, with the likes of Shawn Michaels, Eddie Guerrero, and Triple H all going through similar storylines in the past where they were shown to collapse or show signs of concussion.
