Excitement In WWE Ahead Of First WrestleMania Without Vince McMahon

Those in WWE are happy with the lack of Vince McMahon's presence during WrestleMania weekend

For the first time in WWE history, WWE’s WrestleMania weekend will be without the presence of Vince McMahon. Despite him seemingly being out of the company ahead of last year’s show, McMahon forced himself back into a position of authority, making some changes to the WrestleMania card and booking, in addition to rewriting the RAW after WrestleMania show on the Monday following the event.

In a report from Fightful Select, it is noted that talent and staff in WWE are very much excited for WrestleMania without the influence of McMahon.

“Numerous higher ups in WWE have stated they believe there is no incentive to further any creative preferences or agendas McMahon has. They also believe McMahon is also far more concerned about the very real issues facing him regarding Janel Grant and other incidents. ‘An aura of excitement’ is how one top talent told us things felt this week. They reiterated that they don’t put the disgusting acts McMahon is alleged of perpetrating in the rearview, but that the cloud of him possibly forcing his way in to ‘f*ck up everyone’s good time’ is no longer there. Beyond his influence no longer being felt within WWE, we’re told that Vince McMahon wasn’t expected to pop up at the show. That being said, several of the sources who told us that said that sometimes McMahon appearances haven’t really been wanted in the past.”

The report went on to talk about how WWE are aiming to make the RAW after WrestleMania feel like an event to look forward to again, after that aura had been extinguished by Vince McMahon’s booking and approach the last few years.
