EXCLUSIVE: Alex Shelley Injured, Misses IMPACT Turning Point

Alex Shelley injured!

IMPACT Wrestling were without one of their top stars at tonight’s Turning Point taping in Newcastle upon Tyne, England.

Alex Shelley was scheduled to team with his Motor City Machine Guns tag team partner Chris Sabin to take on Moose and Brian Myers at Turning Point. Although there was no announcement within the building, Frankie Kazarian replaced Shelley for the match and ended up taking the pin.

This also caused a change elsewhere on the card as the X-Division match sponsored by Cultaholic became a singles match between Trey Miguel and Rich Swann.

Sources close to IMPACT Wrestling have revealed that Alex Shelley sustained a leg injury at the UK Invasion Tour taping in Glasgow, Scotland on Thursday night.

Shelley was backstage at Turning Point and he was said to be “really badly limping”. The IMPACT World Champion was also extremely frustrated about being unable to wrestle at Turning Point.

It is unclear how long Shelley will be out of action and if he will be in action at the remaining two shows of the UK Invasion Tour in Coventry is unknown.
