EXCLUSIVE: Update On How Long Alex Shelley Will Be Out Of Action

An exclusive update on Alex Shelley

We have an exclusive update on Alex Shelley and how long he is expected to be out of action.

Shelley sustained an injury on Thursday, October 26 during night one of the UK Invasion Tour in Glasgow, Scotland. Shelley teamed with his Motor City Machine Guns tag team partner Chris Sabin to take on Josh Alexander and Eric Young and the match will air on a future episode of IMPACT Wrestling TV.

Shelley missed the remainder of the UK Invasion Tour, being replaced by Frankie Kazarian in tag team matches before Kazarian challenged Chris Sabin for the X-Division Championship on the final night of the tour in Coventry on Sunday, October 29.

Cultaholic Wrestling first reported that Shelley sustained a leg injury and he was "really badly limping" backstage at the Turning Point taping in Newcastle upon Tyne on October 27. Shelley was also extremely frustrated. PWInsider later reported that Shelley suffered an "extremely pulled muscle in his calf."

In an update, IMPACT President Scott D'Amore has exclusively revealed to Cultaholic Wrestling's Tom Campbell that Shelley will be ready to make his in-ring return before IMPACT need him back in the squared circle.

"He's gonna need a little bit of rest and a little bit of time but he's gonna be more than healthy and ready before he needs to be back in an IMPACT Wrestling ring. So it's going to be a good chance for him to rest and recharge. Like this company, like this group does, this talent and crew they rallied around each other. Before I even had a chance to turn my mind towards it talent were coming up and offering suggestions and one of them was Frankie Kazarian stepping up," D'Amore said.

IMPACT Wrestling only have one more taping before the end of 2023 in Final Resolution. The IMPACT Plus special will air on December 9 from Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
