Fabian Aichner Repackaged As Giovanni Vinci On WWE NXT
Fabian Aichner has transformed into Giovanni Vinci, a high-class Italian gentleman
The mat is no longer sacred for a former member of Imperium.
Video packages have aired on WWE NXT in recent weeks promoting the arrival of Giovanni Vinci, a high-class Italian gentleman who walks around in suits, wears fancy watches, drinks wine, and drives a Ferrari.
The new talent's identity was kept secret, though, until Tuesday's episode of NXT when he was revealed to be the former Fabian Aichner at the end of the latest video package. It was also confirmed Vinci will arrive on NXT next week before the narrator said his catchphrase of 'Veni, Vidi, Vinci', a play on the Latin phrase for I came, I saw, I conquered.
Vinci was suspected to be a repackaged Aichner, who was born in Italy, after the two-time NXT Tag Team Champion was pulled from TV following the post-Stand & Deliver edition of NXT. His former Imperium faction-mates Ludwig Kaiser and Gunther have since moved to the main roster and compete on Friday Night SmackDown.
Aichner made his WWE debut in the 2016 Cruiserweight Classic and he signed with the company one year later. The Italian spent his first few years in WWE competing for EVOLVE and NXT UK before he and the then-Marcel Barthel moved to NXT in 2020.
