Finn Balor Makes Shock Return To WWE NXT, Attacks Seth Rollins

Finn Balor was back on WWE NXT last night

Finn Balor made a surprise return to WWE NXT during the special Gold Rush episode on June 20, attacking Seth Rollins.

Rollins successfully defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Bron Breakker in the show's main event and as NXT's credits began to roll, Balor came through the crowd and jumped Rollins from behind. Balor proceeded to beat down Seth until NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams made the save.

Balor's attack took place only one day after he jumped Rollins from behind on Monday Night Raw before Seth's planned open challenge for the World Heavyweight Title. Balor proceeded to attack Rollins for much of the first 30 minutes of Raw, continuing the assault after Rollins got backstage.

Rollins is scheduled to defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Balor at Money in the Bank on Saturday, July 1. The show is scheduled to take place at The O2 in London, England.

Balor has had two runs in NXT, first from 2014 until 2016. He then returned in 2019 and was on the show until 2021. He is a two-time NXT Champion and a former Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic winner.
