Finn Balor Vs. Baron Corbin Set For 8/6 WWE SmackDown
Following the contract signing incident
A singles bout between Finn Balor and Baron Corbin is set for the August 6 episode of WWE SmackDown in Tampa.
The match stems from a brawl at a contract signing on this past Friday night's SmackDown. Balor was intended to sign a contract to face Roman Reigns for the Universal title at SummerSlam, only to be jumped by Corbin. Corbin then went to try and sign the contract, only for John Cena to take him out, before signing it himself.
Balor recently rejoined the main roster, returning on SmackDown two weeks ago. He had been with NXT since October of 2019, and reigned there once more as its champion (just as he had in 2015-16)
Corbin is presently in an angle where he's fallen on hard times, after losing his King of the Ring crown, as well as his money.
Balor previously feuded with Corbin in 2018. After defeating Corbin at that year's Extreme Rules, Balor went on to defeat him again (this time in his "Demon" guise) at SummerSlam in barely 90 seconds.
