The first match has been set for Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling Explosion's inaugural show 'Independence Day'.

The match came together over the weekend when FMWE founder Atsushi Onita teamed with Shigeno Shima and Great Kojika against Abdullah Kobayashi, Mitsuru Sato and Masao Inoue. Onita's team ultimately came away with the victory, but Kobayashi asked to be added to the Hell Deathmatch at FMWE's debut show after the match.

Onita accepted his proposition and announced the Hell Deathmatch will be Onita, Ricky Fuji and Minoru Fujita vs. Abdullah Kobayashi and two partners to be named later. Reports from Japan have noted that if Kobayashi chooses two Big Japan Pro-Wrestling stars, it will be an all-out war between the promotions.

FMWE's inaugural show 'Independence Day' will take place on July 4 at the Tsurumi Fruit and Vegetable Market in Yokohama. The event will be distributed around the world.

Onita noted he was inspired to create the new company following the Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch between Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega at AEW Revolution.
