First Match Set For WWE Extreme Rules

Liv Morgan vs. Ronda Rousey booked for WWE Extreme Rules

The first match has been set for the Extreme Rules pay-per-view on October 8.

Ronda Rousey won a Five-Way Elimination Match on Friday's episode of SmackDown to earn a shot at Liv Morgan's SmackDown Women's Championship. Lacey Evans, Xia Li, and Natalya had already been eliminated which brought the final two down to Rousey and Sonya Deville. Rousey then picked up the win after Deville submitted to an Ankle Lock.

Rowdy Ronda then spoke to Shayna Baszler backstage after the match and they discussed exacting revenge on Liv Morgan.

Rousey and Morgan have been feuding since Liv cashed-in her Money In The Bank contract and defeated The Baddest Woman on the Planet for the SmackDown Women's Championship. They clashed in a rematch at SummerSlam but Morgan retained her title as Ronda was pinned while she had an Arm Bar locked in on Liv. Morgan tapped out to the submission but the referee did not see it, instead counting the 1-2-3 on the challenger.

Rousey was then suspended from WWE in storyline but she has since returned.
