First Name Announced For Team AEW At Blood & Guts

Team AEW has its first participant for Blood & Guts

The fourth Blood & Guts match in All Elite Wrestling history is a few weeks away, with the double ring caged extravaganza set for Nashville, Tennessee on July 24.

The Elite are set to take on a team of AEW’s finest in the match, with The Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada, and Jack Perry looking to further strengthen their grip of the company. During the July 3 Beach Break special of Dynamite, Team AEW found its first member, with Ring of Honor World Champion Mark Briscoe nailing his colours to the mast.

Briscoe cut an impassioned promo but was soon beat down by Perry, and whilst Kyle O’Reilly ran in to make the save, he too was jumped, ending up on the receiving end of a Kazuchika Okada beating. The Young Bucks also entered the fray, but were ran off by The Acclaimed.

The Elite are still searching for a fifth member to join their team after being brushed off by Hangman Page on Dynamite, whilst it looks likely that O’Reilly and The Acclaimed will be joining Briscoe, alongside a fifth Team AEW participant.

This will be the first Blood & Guts match for Briscoe, Okada, and Perry, whilst The Young Bucks wrestled in 2023’s edition alongside The Golden Lovers, and Hangman Page.
