First Time Ever Match For Edge Set For Next Week's SmackDown

Edge will wrestle Sheamus for the first time in a singles match

Friday Night SmackDown will be hosting a celebration for Edge’s 25th WWE anniversary next week, but he didn’t waste time in getting the celebrations underway as he came out in an unannounced appearance on last night’s episode.

Edge revealed that he wanted a match on next week’s show, and issued out a challenge to Sheamus in a first time ever match. Edge discussed how being on Sheamus’ YouTube channel and taking a nasty fall off a bike was one of the steps in realising that maybe his body could well be in a condition to return to WWE, in addition to Sheamus being someone who always pushed him during preparations of getting back in a WWE ring.

Sheamus came out and responded by showing some respect back towards Edge before accepting his big challenge, which will mark the first time ever that these two will have wrestled in a singles encounter. In addition to this match, WWE have also announced that Grayson Waller will host the Grayson Waller Effect with the new United States Champion Rey Mysterio.
