Nov 8, 2024
The first five signings to the WWE ID programme have been revealed, with WWE announcing that Cappuccino Jones, Zayda Steel, Bryce Donovan, Jack Cartwheel and Zara Zakher are the inaugural prospects.
Listed out of Coffeyville, Kansas, Cappuccino Jones primarily wrestles on the independent wrestling scene in Oklahoma. His coffee-inspired gimmick sees him utilise the Froggy Brew and The Defacinator as finishing moves. Jones has worked as an enhancement talent in both All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor in 2024.
Bryce Donovan was trained by the Create-A-Pro Academy and is a regular for Wrestling Open and on the Northeast indy scene as a whole. Donovan has wrestled for AEW on five occasions as a jobber, and twice for Ring of Honor earlier this year.
Zayda Steel has been wrestling since 2022, beginning her career in Combat Zone Wrestling. She has had several matches in MLW and she also toured with Marigold from the promotion's first show in May 2024 until August.
Zara Zakher started wrestling in 2023 and primarily performs in California, holding the West Coast Pro Women’s Title. She has also wrestled for Tokyo Joshi-Pro.
Jack Cartwheel has wrestled for AEW and ROH in recent years. He is a regular on the independent wrestling scene for GCW and he has previously performed in PWG.
WWE established the ID programme to provide a pathway for independent wrestlers to join the company. Beyond wrestling schools being given WWE ID designation, talents signed to the programme will be provided with training and mentorship, as well as financial opportunities.
