Former AEW Talent Debuts At Impact Wrestling Tapings (SPOILERS)

Who showed up?

A former AEW performer debuted at Saturday night's Impact Wrestling TV tapings in Atlanta.

According to a report from Skylar Russell of Fightful (who is in attendance), former Dark Order member Alan Angels debuted at the Impact tapings, facing X Division champion "Speedball" Mike Bailey.

Bailey went on to defeat Angels. Both men were attacked afterward by Violent By Design members Deaner and Joe Doering.

Angels confirmed in an interview with Sean Ross Sapp on Wednesday that his AEW contract expired on Thursday, June 30. Angels claimed to have turned down a "per appearance" deal to remain with AEW.

Angels tweeted out a message on Thursday that read, in part, "I am nothing but grateful for the two years I spent there. I love AEW. It was/is the best place to ever work. I got to wrestle some of the best wrestlers in the world on a weekly basis, as well as travel to some of the most amazing cities and meet some of the best fans in the world. There are no hard feelings between myself and AEW or Tony Khan."

The former "5" is the second Dark Order member to depart AEW in recent months. Stu Grayson left the company after the expiration of his contract about two months ago.
