Former AEW Talent In Talks To Make TNA Return At Rebellion

TNA Rebellion potentially set to feature debut of former AEW talent

TNA Wrestling’s second pay-per-view event of 2024 is scheduled for April 20, with Rebellion set for Nevada’s Palm Casino, and the event could feature the debut of a former All Elite Wrestling star.

Per a report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, former Inner Circle member Mike Santana has been in talks with TNA about re-joining the company on a per-date deal. There’s no word on if the recent ‘Lights Out’ tease on TNA IMPACT TV is for Santana or not though.

Santana departed AEW earlier in 2024 after the expiration of his deal. Santana joined AEW in 2019 shortly after exiting the then IMPACT Wrestling, with Santana and partner Ortiz having enjoyed four reigns as IMPACT World Tag Team Champions, and one reign as GFW Tag team Champions during their run in the company.

Ortiz and Santana ended their run as a team in 2023 after a break down in their professional relationship, with the two engaging in a quick singles feud in late 2023 on AEW TV. Santana eventually defeated Ortiz in a No DQ match on the October 27 2023 edition of AEW Rampage - Santana’s last match in AEW prior to his departure.
