Multiple WWE Wrestlers Released

WWE have released several main roster superstars

Even under the new regime, post-WrestleMania releases are still a tradition for WWE, as last night several main roster talents were let go from the company. Fightful Select have confirmed that Jinder Mahal, Xia Li, Xyon Quinn, Veer, and Sanga have all been released.

Jinder Mahal is the highest profile name released in this batch, formerly reigning as WWE Champion in 2017 after scoring one of, if not the biggest upset victory in the history of the company when he defeated Randy Orton at Backlash to win the gold. He would also go on to win the United States Championship too. Mahal took to social media to state that he "quit", before listing himself as a free agent.

Xia Li made her first impression back at the 2017 Mae Young Classic, spending some time in NXT, most notably alongside Boa in the Tian Sha angle. She was called up to the main roster in 2021, but failed to score consistent TV time. Li sent out a thank you message to WWE and Triple H on X shortly following the news. The same can be said for Sanga and Veer, who drifted between NXT and the main roster without having much of an impression. In the case of Xyon Quinn, he was called up to the main roster in 2023, but only ever competed twice on RAW/SmackDown.

These wrestlers have 90-day no-compete clauses before becoming free agents, and it is currently unknown whether WWE will be letting go of any more talent.
