Former AEW Women's World Champion Returns On Dynamite

A former AEW Women's World Champion was back on Dynamite

A former AEW Women's World Champion is back in All Elite Wrestling.

The women's division was spotlighted on the May 3 edition of Dynamite as The Outcasts' Saraya went one-on-one with Willow Nightingale. The Outcasts have enjoyed the numbers advantage so far in their feud with AEW originals and that briefly continued on Wednesday night as interference allowed Saraya to connect with the Good Knight to score the 1-2-3.

Following the match, The Outcasts beat down Willow until Hikaru Shida made her return and headed to the ring with her patented kendo stick. Shida initially teased that she would be joining The Outcasts, hugging Saraya, Toni Storm, and Ruby Soho and grabbing their spray paint. Before Shida tagged Nightingale, though, Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter appeared behind The Outcasts, at which point Shida smirked and spray-painted Saraya in the face before decking her with a kendo stick shot.

Shida, Baker, and Jamie Hayter then took out The Outcasts and spray painted them with an AEW logo to end the segment standing tall.

Wednesday night was Shida's first appearance on AEW programming since the January 2 edition of Dark: Elevation. She hasn't wrestled on Dynamite since losing an AEW Women's World Title match to Jamie Hayter on December 21, 2022.

Shida has had one reign as AEW Women's World Champion. She held the gold for 372 days from May 2020 until May 2021.
