Trinity Fatu Reveals Further Details About Why She Left WWE

Trinity Fatu has revealed more details surrounding her controversial WWE exit. 

Fatu (FKA Naomi), along with her Women's Tag Team Championship partner Sasha Banks, walked out of WWE prior to a Raw taping in May of last year. A prolonged period of rumour and speculation ended when Trinity received her WWE release and signed with IMPACT Wrestling.

Referring to her WWE departure as a 'blessing in disguise', Fatu revealed that the way she was spoken to and treated ultimately led to her decision to leave. 

Shedding light on the situation during a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, Trinity said: 

"I felt very stagnant and I wasn't happy. Ultimately, I left that day because of the way I was talked to and handled. Everything kind of just broke me that day. It had nothing to do with anything else, anybody else. That was just it. I had to. To go through all the backlash and the negativity and the lies and the rumours and then to also kind of just feel lost, it broke me. It was probably the lowest I've ever felt in my life. But going through that made me reset and face it head on and figure out how to learn from this experience and grow from it [and] just find myself again in all of it. I'm extremely happy now and really thankful for this opportunity to show that you haven't seen me at my best yet". 

She also noted that she had been wrestling with a torn labrum for a year. 

Trinity Fatu will make her IMPACT Wrestling debut on tonight's episode of IMPACT on AXS.
