Former TNA Star Works Dark Match Before AEW Dynamite
AEW Dynamite dark match saw the debut of a former TNA star
Jan 23, 2025
A former TNA star made their All Elite Wrestling debut on January 22, working a dark match before the live show in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Former TNA World Tag Team Champion Crazzy Steve - going under Crazy Steve with just one ‘z’ - made his AEW bow in Knoxville, losing to Serpentico after the snake man hit a frog splash. A report from F4WOnline suggests that the crowd gave Steve a ‘good reaction’ and the former Digital Media Champion looked good.
It’s currently unknown if this was an AEW/ROH tryout for Steve or just a guest appearance. Since dropping the Digital Media Championship to Laredo Kid at TNA Rebellion 2024, Crazzy Steve hasn’t made any more televised appearances for TNA, last wrestling for the company in a dark match loss against ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey on April 21, 2024.
Since his last TNA appearance, Crazzy Steve has been working in Lucha Libre AAA in Mexico, and across the American independent scene, most notably for Juggalo Championship Wrestling. Steve originally debuted for TNA in 2014 with The Menagerie before forming Decay. He then left the promotion in 2017 before Crazzy Steve’s second stint in TNA ran from 2020 until 2024.
