Former WWE Star Set To Make IMPACT Wrestling Debut

A former WWE United States Champion is heading to IMPACT Wrestling

A former WWE star is set to make his IMPACT Wrestling debut later this week.

IMPACT have announced that Samuray Del Sol (FKA Kalisto) will step into an IMPACT Wrestling ring for the first time during the promotion's Chicago Heat TV tapings at Cicero Stadium this weekend. Kalisto is scheduled to team with Black Taurus and Laredo Kid against Bully Ray, Moose, and Brian Myers on Friday, July 28. Samuray Del Sol will then go one-on-one with former X-Division Champion Chris Sabin on Saturday, July 29.  

Other matches announced for the TV tapings include Kenny King vs. Joe Hendry vs. Yuya Uemura for the Digital Media Championship, and Mike Bailey & Jonathan Gresham vs. The Rascalz. 

Samuray Del Sol previously performed for WWE from 2013 until his release in 2021 and he is a two-time United States Champion. Del Sol has competed for the likes of DDT Pro Wrestling and AAA in 2023 alongside a tour of Australia. The luchador also had one match for All Elite Wrestling back in November 2021.
