Former WWE Superstar To Challenge For The NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship On September 15

He wants to restore honour to his name...

In early August, the United Wrestling Network announced they would be partnering with the National Wrestling Alliance and Thunder Studios to produce a new weekly pay-per-view series, United Wrestling Network's Primetime LIVE.

The new show is set to premiere in two weeks on September 15 and Nick Aldis will defend the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship for only the fourth time in 2020.

Aldis's opponent revealed themselves over the weekend as former WWE Superstar Mike Bennett said he needed to restore dignity to his family and honour to his name. The only way he could do that is by winning the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship.

The National Treasure left Bennett waiting for a few days, but the champion accepted the challenge last night as he admitted The Miracle has the necessary credentials to compete for the belt. Aldis noted, however, this doesn't mean Bennett is good enough to defeat "the most dominant heavyweight champion of the world in the modern era."

With the challenge accepted, Aldis and Bennett will go one on one on September 15.
